Installation of the remains of A Black Fish (2022)
The Black Fish is a continuation of A Black Fish.
The ten meter long paper stained by the melting ice fish is suspended from the ceiling, recalling the image of a caught fish hanging in storage.
By transforming the trace of extinction into a new sculptural body, the work examines how nature is consumed, preserved, and assigned value through human systems.
The fish disappears, but its trace enters a new cycle, continuing into the next chapter of the series, Fish Market.
